Who hasn't stuck themselves with a fish hook or been with someone that has.  If it hasn't happened to you yet, it is almost bound to happen some day.  Being trout anglers, it will probably happen when you are a long way from medical help.  I came across this hook removal video by Gink + Gasoline, www.ginkandgasoline.com a few years back.  Within a couple of months I had the opportunity to use the technique on my fishing partner.  A couple of years later, I coached another angler through removing a hook from me. 

In both cases, the hooked person agreed the removal was painless.
